William Lee Mitchell

William Lee Mitchell, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, went to be with his Heavenly Father at 78 years of age, on June 6, 2017 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. William was born on September 28, 1938 to the late Eddie and Pearl (Smith) Mitchell, in Mansfield, Arkansas.

William is preceded in death by his parents; Eddie and Pearl Mitchell, six brothers; Recie, Hathern, Robert, Harold, J.D., and Edgar Mitchell.

William is survived by his children; Tanya Kaye Robinson of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Lori Lei Graham of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, sister; Louise Greene of Coweta, Oklahoma, grandchildren; Robert William Bass III and his wife Ysha of New Albany, Indiana, James Carey Graham IV and his wife Amber of Baltimore, Maryland, Zachary Michael Robinson of Austin, TX; three great-grandchildren; Ashton and Eva Bass, Jak Graham, along with many loving family and friends.

He retired from The Trade Winds Hotel as an Executive Vice - President after 40+ years of service. William filled several positions related to the Best Western organization and regional hotel/motel organizations. He was also a Mason and did his best to help the others around him. His passion was serving the Lord, being a light for Him. Always making sure that the infinite love of Christ was a beacon of light through him in even the smallest of interactions he had with those around him. William also enjoyed following politics and loved history. He loved his country and felt it both an honor and his duty to stay current with what was happening.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday at 11:00 A.M. on June 10, 2017, at Christ Gospel Church, 1203 W. Archer, Tulsa, Oklahoma 74127.
