William Lee Childers

William Lee Childers passed away Thursday, March 6, 2014 at the age of 90 in Broken Arrow. Lee was born February 8, 1924 in Broken Arrow to Jim and Adney Noble Childers. He graduated from Coweta High School in 1942 where he loved to play baseball as a Tiger. He married Ina Knupp October 2, 1942 in West Tulsa. Lee served our country in the United States Army and attended the University of Tulsa. Lee worked as homebuilder in the area developing custom homes in South Tulsa and Broken Arrow. He owned a small farm east of Broken Arrow where he loved to work with his cattle. Lee was preceded in death by his parents. Surviving him, his loving wife of 71 years, Ina of Broken Arrow and his son Ed Childers of Clarkston, Michigan.
