William Justus

January 29, 1946 — March 6, 2025

William Henry Justus, known to his loved ones as Uncle Sunny, Dad, and Long John, passed away on March 6, 2025, at the age of 79. Born on January 29, 1946, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, he was the son of William Justus and Elsie Justus, both of whom preceded him in death, along with his brother Phillip, sister Chereylne, and nephew Mark.

William's legacy is carried on by his surviving family, including his brother, Larry Justus; his daughters, Jennifer and Shelly; his grandchildren, Justin and Dylen; his great-grandchildren, Kash and Copeland; as well as his nephews Chris and Greg.

A man of many traits, William was known for his generous spirit and hardworking nature. He was always the first to offer help if you were in need, giving without hesitation to anyone who crossed his path. Whether he was building a hotrod in his garage or sitting down to enjoy a Little Debbie Snack Cake, he always did things with purpose and care. His love for his family was unwavering, and he took pride in being a provider and protector

William had a reputation for being a bit grumpy at times, but those who knew him best understood that it was simply his way of showing care and commitment. His nightly routine was a cherished tradition-movie night at 7:00 sharp, with no room for interruptions. If you dared to talk during the film, you knew the volume would go up until the chatter ceased, a small but cherished example of his quirky sense of order.

Though he was often quiet, his actions spoke volumes. Whether he was lending a hand, offering advice, or simply sitting in the company of his loved ones, William's presence was always felt. His kindness, generosity, and love will be deeply missed by all who had the honor of knowing him.

Rest in peace, Uncle Sunny, Dad, and Long John. You will always be remembered with love and fondness, and your memory will live on in the hearts of your family forever.
