William Harris Webb

March 6, 1939 — February 11, 2019

Harris Webb, 79, of Tulsa, Oklahoma went to be with his Lord on February 11, 2019 surrounded by his family, following a long battle with cancer.

Harris was born on March 6, 1939 in Sparks, Georgia. He married the love of his life, Phyllis (Richards) Webb on June 26, 1965 in Port Arthur, Texas. Their beautiful life together lasted 53 years. They raised two children, Tracy (Webb) Earls and Bradley Webb, both of Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Harris was preceded in death by his parents, Joel & Marie (Stone) Webb formerly of Port Arthur, Texas and his brother Bob Webb of Lumberton, Texas.

Harris leaves behind a family who adored him: his wife Phyllis, daughter Tracy Earls and son-in-law Todd Earls, his son Bradley Webb and daughter-in-law Kristie Webb and four loving grandchildren, Luke Earls, Abigail Webb, Owen Earls and Jacob Webb. Harris’s younger brother, Tom Webb, currently resides in Friendswood, Texas.

Harris graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in Port Arthur, Texas in 1957. He attended Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, Louisiana on a football scholarship. He transferred to Lamar University where he became a member of the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity. Harris graduated in 1964 with a BA in Business. He proudly served six years in the U.S. Coast Guard from 1960-1966.

Harris had a way with people, leading to a successful career as a salesman for more than 40 years. He had a strong faith, was quick to laugh, loved to golf and would do anything for his family.

A celebration of Harris’s life will be held on Monday, February 18, 2019 at 2:00pm at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, 4001 E 101st St, Tulsa. Monsignor Patrick Gaalaas will officiate.
