William David Zimmerman

William David Zimmerman age 38 passed away at his Tulsa residence on January 19, 2009.
William was born August 31, 1970 in San Diego, California to William David Zimmerman and Susan Diana (Shearer) Zimmerman.
He graduated from San Marcos High School in San Marcos, California. William was very active in sports growing up, setting local records in football and baseball. He spent some summers in Oklahoma working on a five hundred acre cattle ranch. He loved the outdoors and working with animals. William loved watching sports and playing his guitar in his band, "Parking Lot".
William joined the Navy after high school and was trained as an electrician and fireman. He was honorably discharge in 1993. After the Navy he worked as an electrician in California for three years. He retained his Class B license. William return to school in 2000 to pursue his love for guitar. He attended the prestigious Musician's Institute of Technology in Hollywood, California. He received a Professional Certificate in 2001. After 9/11, William worked with Halliburton, Brown & Root building Army camps in Afghanistan. He was promoted to Labor Foreman and was in charge of running the camp's laundry facility. William moved to Hawaii after he returned from Afghanistan and had a job working on a ship as an Engineer's Assistant. He worked on engines and electrical systems.
William is survived by his father: William David Zimmerman; his mother: Susan Zimmerman; his brother: Michael G. Zimmerman of San Diego, California, his sister: Sara D. Zimmerman of Vista, California; his uncles: Robert G. Dyer of San Diego, California; Gary S. Shearer of Warner Springs, California; his aunts: Sandra A. Rimel of Temecula, California and Deborah C. Axton of Bixby, Oklahoma along with numerous cousins.
