William was born in Blackwell, OK to Rudy Briggs and Joyce Hein and spent his years growing up in Kingfisher, Oklahoma. William married the love of his life Kimberly Briggs on June 24, 1992.
William spent his working years in law enforcement. In November of 2004 he was appointed Deputy Sherriff for the Creek County Sheriff's Department, which he served for 14 years. His daughter Loghan would say one of her favorite memories that she will always remember of him were getting to go on ride alongs with him all the time. William also loved working on old cars with his son, Brock, their latest projects were an 1987 Chevy truck and a 1970 Mercury Cougar. He enjoyed going to sporting events or watching them on TV, especially the Oklahoma Sooners. He was a dedicated fan and tried to never miss a game. All of these things are things that he loved, but he loved them even more with his family and friends around. He was a family man and will always be remembered as a loving husband, father, friend and his sense of humor will never be forgotten.
