Rev. Wilburn Jasper Paris Price, moved from the walks of this life to his heavenly home Thursday, June 4, 2015 at the age of 87. He started his earthly journey January 18, 1928. He was born to Lewis E. Price and Lilly (Senseney) Price in Exeter, California. While on his journey through life, he met the love of his life, Lois Ann Keys. They were married July 21, 1948. They remained faithfully devoted to each other to the moment he slipped from this life to his reward where he awaits her arrival when her race is run. God blessed their union with a beautiful family. This family includes two daughters, Pamela Leeth and husband, Sherman and Suzanne Barnett and husband, Rick; brothers, Earnest Price, Billy Botts and wife, Wilma and Gene Price and wife, Diane; six grandchildren, Amyee Bragg, Deanna Murray and husband, Dickie, Alisa Brumlow and husband, Aubrey, Elisabeth Miller and husband, Kenneth, Sarah Leeth and Ruth Thompson and husband, Sean; ten great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
Brother Price, lived a full and colorful life. He served in the Navy from 1947-1950, where he was one of the few that observed the testing of the atomic bombs. He established a hearing aid business in 1959 by selling hearing aids door to door. God prospered it into a thriving business which he sold to his brother in 1976 so he could focus on his ministry.
Brother and Sister Price established Apostolic Gospel Church in 1964 and pastored there until 1984 when he answer the call to go to the mission field in Nigeria, West Africa. Countless souls were saved and lives changed over the seven years on the mission field in Nigeria where the revival continues to this day. Political conflict forced them to leave their field of labor in 1991. Brother Price's passion for the Kingdom of God led him to Rogers, Ark for the next two years to help out with a struggling home missions work until they were able to take up their next post on the mission field. God opened the doors in Papua New Guinea in 1993 and they worked to establish a work for the Assemblies of the Lord Jesus Christ. This work continues to prosper today under the direction of his daughter and son in law. They came home from Papua New Guinea in 2002 to officially retire in Okmulgee, OK where he lived until going home to be with the Lord.
