William Henry Quick, a longtime resident of Dustin, passed away Sunday, September 19, 2010 at the age of 68. He was born July 15, 1942 to Victor and Jean (Wheeler) Quick in Newark, New Jersey. Mr. Quick served in the United States Marine Corps from 1961-1971. He was a member of the Thewarle Indian Baptist Church in Dustin and was a truck driver for Marshalls Machinery. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Jan C. Quick of the home; six children, Tonya Perdue of Midwest City, Jenea Herbert of Scranton, PA, William Quick, Jr. of McAlester, Rowena Quick of Scranton, PA, Victor Quick and wife, Jo Ellen of Dustin and Warren Quick of Alaska; sister, Marian Singer of Clark Summitt, PA; twelve grandchildren and one great grandchild. Visitation will be held Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Shurden-Jackson Funeral Home in Henryetta. Wake Services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Friday, September 24, 2010 at the Thewarle Indian Baptist Church in Dustin. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 25, 2010 at the Thewarle Indian Baptist Church in Dustin with Reverend Mitchell Taylor officiating. Burial will follow the service at the Quick Family Cemetery under the direction of the Shurden-Jackson Funeral Home in Henryetta. Pallbearers will be Bryon, Nathan and Andrew Perdue, Christian and Lucas Herbert and Tony Condi. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jessica, Ashlynn, Emily and Ryan Quick, Rebecca Herbert and Peyton Harmer.
