Wava Gay Dahl

Wava Gay Dahl passed from this life to her new life on January 7, 2018 at the Clarehouse in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was born in Albany, Nebraska March 3, 1941 to Charles Edward Boyd and Bonnie Lee Miller.

She loved being outside whether it was planting flowers or mowing the yard. She also loved cooking for anyone who came to visit. She also was a selfless caregiver taking care of over 80 foster children. She truly had a house of love.

She is preceded in life by her parents, Charles and Bonnie Boyd; her husband of thirty years, Sigfred Thomas Dahl; one son Rocky Gene Hinds; one daughter in law Candy Sue Hinds (Hunter); and one granddaughter Jessica Nicole Hinds. She is also preceded by her sisters Hazel Joy Davis, Merrily Louise Maddox, and Carol Glee Cope.

She is survived by one daughter, Carla Jean Massery (Hinds) and husband James Edward Massery; two sons, Charles Ray Hinds and Waylon Thomas Dahl and wife Mary Nicole Dahl (Tinsley) all of Preston Oklahoma; one sister Ruby Marie Boyd; 4 grandchildren, Charly Beatrice Hinds, Steven Ray Hinds and wife Lucille Hinds (Gasaway), Jennifer Faith Smith (Massery) and husband Alan Fredrick Smith, and Michelle Hope Hunnicutt (Massery) and husband William Coy Hunnicutt; 7 great grandchildren, Marissa Liliana Piza, Nathaniel Lucas Smith, Peighton Layne Trotter, Mackenzie Rae Trotter, Halle Jo Hinds, Braxton Ray Clarkson, Bennett Ray Hinds; and many nieces and nephews.

Her advice and love will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Visitation will be 5pm-7pm Wednesday January 10, 2018 at Schaudt’s Okmulgee Funeral Service, located at 8th and Alabama. Funeral Services will be 11:00 am Thursday January 11, 2018 at Schaudt’s Okmulgee Funeral Service. Interment by her husband at Fort Gibson National Cemetery will be noon Friday, January 12, 2018.
