Wanda Jean (Simpson) Covey age 65 passed away Wednesday, January 26, 2011 at St. John Medical Center in Tulsa surrounded by her loving family members. Wanda was born April 28, 1945 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to John Wayne Simpson and Glata Bernice (Murphy) Simpson. She graduated from Jenks High School with the Class of 1963. Wanda married Lewis Eugene Covey. She worked for Sinclair Oil Company for fifteen years as a purchasing agent. Wanda was preceded in death by her parents: John and Glata Simpson and her husband, Gene Covey. She is survived by her daughter: Michelle Herring and her husband, James of Glenpool; her son: Jason Covey of Jenks; her brothers: John Simpson and his wife, Lynne of Glenpool; Jim Simpson of Tulsa; her sisters: Norma Franz and her husband, Marvin of Victoria, Texas; Joyce Crawford and her husband, Cliff of Glenpool; Linda Hardesty of Glenpool and her sister: Carla Simpson of Jenks; her three grandchildren: Chad, Philip and Dakota along with other family members and friends. Visitation is 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Sunday, January 30, 2011 at Schaudt's Funeral Service, Glenpool, Oklahoma. Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Monday at Tulsa Hills Baptist Church, 8600 S. Union Avenue, Tulsa, Oklahoma. Reverend Larry Buxton will officiate. Arrangements were entrusted to Daniel C. Schaudt of Schaudt's Glenpool Funeral Service & Cremation Care.
