Wanda Dene (Perry) Lloyd passed away Monday January 1, 2017 after a long battle of illnesses. She was 75.
Wanda was born August 25, 1942 in Conroe, Texas. She was the daughter of Ethyl Bird and Willie Perry.
She spent most of her life in Texas where she attended Conroe High School.
Wanda worked in the food service industry all her life as a cook and dietitian.
She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Texas.
Her passion was cooking and baking, especially for her family. She was famous for her chicken and dumplings and margaritas. Wanda catered many of her family members weddings and even made some of their wedding cakes. She was also a very talented seamstress. Spending time with her grandchildren was something she adored, they always remember her watching Wheel of Fortune when they went over to visit. Wanda was compassionate and larger than life. She was always willing to help anyone and loved to make people laugh. She will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ethyl Bird and Willie Perry; step-mother, Audrey (Clifton) Perry; husbands, James Allen McDaniel and Brodie Lloyd; brothers, De Witt and Tommy; and sister, Darlene.
Survivors are children, James Allen McDaniel, Jr. and his wife, Sally, Gary Don McDaniel, Margie Katherine McDaniel, Eddie McDaniel, and Laura Putman and her husband, Dow; grandchildren, Kim, Joe, Lynn, Stephanie, Bryan, Andrew, William, Melissa, Will, Jenni , James, Ian, Julia, and Sallie; and 16 great grandchildren. She also leaves two sisters, Margie Colburn and Betty Holston.
