Walter Paul Zogg age 84 passed away Friday, November 13, 2009 at Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Walter was born June 27, 1925 in Tripp, South Dakota to Ulrich Zogg and Elise Herbster. On February 6, 1960 in Denver, Colorado he married Gloria Jean Heatly. Walter played semi-pro baseball in Nebraska. He was an avid deer and pheasant hunter. He worked in construction as a general contractor. Walter was of Methodist faith and attended First United Methodist Church in Broken Arrow.
Walter was preceded in death by his parents: Ulrich and Elise Zogg; five siblings and his loving wife: Gloria Jean Zogg on July 5, 2005. He is survived by his son: Randal Zogg of Broken Arrow, his daughter: Diane Porth and her husband, Harold of Broken Arrow; his brother: Richard Zogg of Broken Arrow; his sisters: Alma Golden of Grainfield, Kansas, Mildred Blazer of Oakley, Kansas, Margaret Akerman of Scotland, South Dakota along with two grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 20, 2009 at Schaudt's Glenpool Funeral Service Chapel. Reverend Ron Baker will officiate.
