Vernon Castle Hargrave

Vernon Castle (Hanson) Harry Hargrave age 94 passed away on February 19, 2010 in Beggs. Oklahoma surrounded by her loving daughters.
On September 23, 1915 an angel from heaven brought a beautiful baby girl to be loved by Lem and Katie Hanson (McIntosh) of Beggs. Vernon spent the majority of her life in Ypsilanti, Michigan. She returned to live in Beggs, Oklahoma in 1989. Vernon was a licensed practical nurse for many years. She was a member of Handy Chapel in Beggs.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Lem and Katie Hanson; her son: Albert; husbands: L. P. Harry and William Hargrave; three sisters: Willa White, Myrtle Doakes, Irene Hollingsworth; two brothers: Woodrow Hanson and Benjamin Worthy; two granddaughters: Rochelle and Rosalyn; her grandson: Taurus and her great grandson: Taurus, Jr.
She is survived by her three daughters: Christine Mickle of Kelseyville, California; Peggy Williams and her husband, John Mac of Norfolk, Virginia, Gloria Starks of Beggs, Oklahoma; ten grandchildren; twenty-eight great grandchildren, eleven great-great grandchildren along with many nieces and nephews.
Services will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 27, 2010 at the Handy Chapel AME Beggs,OK
