Vera Marie Fisher

Vera Marie Edmonds Fisher passed from this life to join her beloved husband on April 9, 2021, at the age of 90. She was born July 8, 1930, in Morris, Oklahoma. She married Coy Albert Fisher on May 27, 1950. The two made their home in Tulsa where she retired from Tulsa Public Schools. Marie loved spending time with her family, reading her Bible, and playing hymns on the piano. She also enjoyed sewing, crochet, and most of all quilting; there was always a project in the works.

Marie is survived by four children: daughter Kathy Sims of Tulsa, daughter Diane Chastain and husband Rodney of Glenpool, son Kenneth Fisher and wife Laurie of Tulsa, and daughter Angela Fisher of Tulsa, 12 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and 12 great-great-grandchildren, brother Bert Dan Edmonds of Visalia, CA, and sister Bertha Ann Edmonds England of Sallisaw, OK. She was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Coy Albert Fisher, four children: Coy Albert Fisher, Jr., Richard Allen Fisher, Sr., Emma Jean Fisher, and a baby girl, granddaughter Heather Fisher, son-in-law Robert Sims, 3 sisters and 4 brothers.

Funeral service and visitation will be held Monday, April 19, 2021, at Schaudt Funeral Service in Glenpool. Visitation will be from 1pm - 2pm with the service beginning at 2pm. Burial to follow at the Fisher Family Cemetery in Morris. Dinner will be served at the home of Rodney and Diane Chastain in Glenpool.

Pallbearers will be Marie's grandsons: Jason Fisher, Brian Nick, Robert Chastain, John Fisher, Chester Chastain, and James Chastain.
