Funeral Services honoring the life of Vaughn De Jean (Roberts) Crosser will be held Friday, January 5, 2018, 1:30 PM at Highland Park Christian Church with Brian Jennings and Dave Dunson officiating. Jeanne passed away December 31,2017 after a long illness with her family by her side. She was 78.

Jeanne was born August 12, 1939 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Dora Jessie (Polumbus) Davis and James Pascal Roberts. Jeanne spent most of her life in Tulsa where she was a 1957 graduate from Central High School. Upon graduation, she was hired by the school to work in the office.

For a brief few months Jeanne and her sister Donna moved to Santa Monica, California. Not long after Jeanne returned to Tulsa where she met the love of her life, Willie Franklin Crosser at the Cimarron Ballroom. On August 13th, 1960 Bill and Jeanne got married in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Jeanne retired after 16 years from her position at East Central High School from serving as the Head of the Attendance Office. She was previously employed at American Airlines, Martin’s BBQ, McDonald-Douglas, Bryant Elementary, Lindbergh Elementary, Leggett Supply and JCPenny.

Jeanne was a member at Highland Park Christian Church. Earlier in life she was a longtime member at East Tulsa Christian Church where she volunteered to organize the craft room.

Jeanne loved spending time with her family and was very proud of her Italian and Cherokee heritage. She enjoyed making crafts and reading. In her earlier years she sang with her husband Bill in his band called the Country Road Runners. Some of her favorite artists were Elvis Presley, Dean Martin, Patsy Cline, Don Williams, the Everly Brothers and Billy Vaughn. Jeanne will also be remembered as loving, caring, supportive and full of faith.

She was proceeded in death by her parents, Dora Jessie (Polumbus) Davis and James Pascal Roberts; son, Kevin Lee Crosser; sister, Dora Jessie Carson; and brother, James Pascal Roberts, Jr.

Survivors include, her husband, Willie Franklin Crosser; sons, Gregory Scot Crosser, Matthew Brian Crosser and his wife, Angela; sisters, Elizabeth Gibbs and Donna Martin. She is also survived by grandchildren, Taylor and her husband, Chance, Brittany, Kohl, Brandon, Jacob and his wife, Hannah and Abby.

Visitation will be held Thursday, January 4, 2018 from 3 PM to 7 PM at Schaudt’s Tulsa Funeral Service. Graveside will follow the service at Memorial Park Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Jeanne Crosser to Highland Park Christian Church; 5708 E 31st St. Tulsa, Oklahoma 74135.
