Tyler Thomas, age 48, passed away on Saturday, October 24, 2015 in Tulsa, OK. He will be deeply missed by his loving family, friends and neighbors.

Tyler was born on November 18, 1966 in Liberal, KS. He attended Ponca City High School and obtained his Forestry degree from Eastern Oklahoma State College in Wilburton, Oklahoma. He moved to Tulsa to be with family. He went to work at Communications Graphics where he developed great friends in his 18 years there.

Tyler loved being outdoors, from skiing with his family, to camping and kayaking, arrowhead hunting with friends on the river, 4-wheeling with his nephews at Little Sahara, and hiking through Arkansas, Colorado and Oklahoma with his brother. He loved nature and everything about it. He enjoyed wildlife and had a special fondness for rescue animals, especially cats.

Tyler’s sense of humor and simple way of looking at things were among his greatest attributes. He had a special knack for seeing situations for what they were, and expressing it kind heartedly. He was never in a rush for friends in need of advice and always had a listening ear. If he could make someone laugh or smile, then his day was complete.

Tyler loved his family and loved teasing his nephews. He was kind and loving to all those surrounding him. We love and miss you Tyler. You will be in our hearts forever.

Tyler is survived by:
His sister Toni Riess and husband Doug (OKC) and their two sons, Mike (Waco, TX) and Chris
(Stillwater, OK).
His brother Ernie and wife Tracy Thomas and their two sons, Kyle and Connor (La Canada, CA).
His three nephews by his sister Teri Hercyk (deceased): Greg Baldwin and his wife Kerry and
daughter Avery (OKC), Nathan and Austin Hercyk (Ponca City, OK).

His niece, Jaedra Briner, by his brother Tim Thomas (deceased), and her three children: Lela,
Wyatt and Bailey (Ponca City, OK).

Tyler was preceded by his sister, Teri Hercyk; his brother, Tim Thomas; and his mother and father, Roma Lee Thomas and Donald Lee Thomas.
