Twyla Inez Beaver

Twyla Inez Tarpalechee Beaver passed away at the age of 75 on April 17, 2018 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at St. John Medical Center with her loving family by her side.

Henry and Elizabeth (Perryman) Tarpalechee welcomed their baby daughter into the world on February 28, 1943 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma.

Twyla's maternal tendencies were lovingly put to the test when she was a dorm matron at Chilocco Indian School, Eufaula Indian Boarding School and the Muscogee Creek Nation Facility. She loved working for her church and was a member of the Big Cussetah United Methodist Church. Her grandchildren were the delight of her life and spending time with them gave her great joy. She enjoyed her craft and sewing projects, shopping and the time she spent at the casino. She also was an avid wrestling fan and would watch a match any time she could.

Twyla was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Elizabeth Tarpalechee; husband, John "Chief" Beaver; daughter, Dora Lynn Beaver, and a brother Yarme Tarpalechee.

Family members surviving who cherish Twyla's memories are her daughters, Nancy (Duane) Osceola of Glenpool, Jeanie Beaver, Johni Mae Beaver of Morris; son, Buddy Beaver; grandson, Matthew Osceola of Glenpool; granddaughter, Shelby Osceola of Glenpool, sisters, Cheryl Grayson of Beggs, Henrietta (Kelly) Thomas of Okmulgee, Tina Tarpalechee of Glenpool, Teresa Jennings of Okmulgee and brother, Edward Tarpalechee of Okmulgee. She has also left behind many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Pallbearers will be: Matthew Osceola, Darrell Tarpalechee,Brian Tarpalechee,
Tony Berryhill. Chance Beasley, Blue Tarpalechee, Anderson Berryhill III, Brant Beaver, and Brent Beaver.

Honorary Pallbearers will be: Eddy Tarpalechee, Darin Tarpalechee, Jay Paul Tarpalechee, Kirby Jennings, John Beaver, Kyle Wittman and Drew Wittman.

Family Viewing will be held Sunday, April 22nd, 2018 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Schaudt's Okmulgee Funeral Service Chapel, 220 S. Alabama. Wake Service will follow at 7:00 PM

Funeral Service for Twyla Beaver will be held on Monday, April 23, 2018, at 1:00 PM at the Big Cussetah United Methodist Church with Royce Wittman and Del Beaver officiating. Burial will follow at Big Cussetah Cemetery in Morris, Oklahoma.
