A Memorial Service will be held honoring and remembering the life of Treva Ann Kirtley on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at 1 PM at Schaudt's Glenpool Funeral Service Chapel . Treva passed away Monday, August 20, 2018 with her family by her side. She was 61.
In the fall of 1956 on October 31st, Treva was born in Ardmore, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Catherine Jeane Marie (Jackson) Severns and Kenneth Francis Kirtley.
Treva was a 1975 graduate of Nobel High School, Noble, Oklahoma. She continued her education by receiving her Associates degree in Arts from Rose State College, her Bachelors of Science in Business from the University of Phoenix then accomplished receiving her Master's of Science in Rehab Counseling from Langston University.
On August 23, 1985 Treva joined the United States Navy. She served our country for four years until she was honorably discharged in August of 1989. After deployment, Treva joined the Navy Reserves where she spent another four years honoring our country.
She began her employment at Seagate, where she spent 23 years then worked at Oklahoma State Department of Rehab for 12 years and finally finished her employment at Glenpool Public Schools as a substitute teacher.
Treva was very mechanically inclined and could effortlessly find a way to fix anything. She had a passion for woodworking. You could often find Treva playing her acoustic guitar and writing songs. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them when they went camping and fishing at the lake. Treva was a giving and compassionate person. She will be remembered for her kind heart and loving smile.
She is preceded in death by her parents, a sister Shellie Barber, a brother in law Steven Chrisco and nephew Blake Ingram.
Survivors include her step father Frank Severns, a brother William Kirtley and his wife Vicki, sister Dava "Kathy" Chrisco, nephews Colton Kirtley and Terri Barber, her nieces Kristina Kirtley and Tammy Severens, great niece Melia and great nephews William and Wesley, a godson Matthew Dunn and her partner Susan Maahs along with her children and grandchildren, Kristi, Chad, Melissa, Ashton, Lilly, Olivia and Jacob Weber along with many other family members and friends.
