Torhres Lambert Busby
Torhres was born to Terry L. and Janie M. Busby on February 21, 1955, at Ft. Leavenworth, Kansas. Being an Army brat, he lived in many locations throughout his childhood. Once his father retired from the Army, the family settled in Newport, AR where they owned a service station. They eventually moved to Irving, TX where Torhres graduated from MacArthur High School in 1973.
Torhres, his father and older brother all worked at the Safeway warehouse in Garland, TX together. Torhres had several careers throughout his life which included iron worker, lineman electrician and long-distance truck driver. He was an avid duck hunter, loved to fish, and enjoyed the outdoors.
He married the love of his life, Bronda McLaughlin, in October of 1979. They moved with their three children to Okmulgee, OK in 1987.
Torhres was preceded in death by his father Terry L. Busby, mother Janie M. Busby and brother Billie M. Busby, all of Okmulgee, OK. He leaves behind his son Nicholas Busby of Grapevine, TX, son William Busby and wife Bryn of Castle Rock, CO, daughter Jeanetta McCartney and husband Justin of Anna, TX, stepdaughter Rebecca Stevens and husband Ray of Allen, TX, grandchildren Piper, Calvin, Riley, and Liam. He is also survived by his brother Keith Busby and wife Jodi, and sister Trini Brown and husband David. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews and his dear friend Jack Reynolds.
