Tonia Cooksey

Tonia Nicole Cooksey-Cruze, a resident of Twin Hills, passed away Saturday, July 17, 2010 at the age of 23. She was born on Thursday, November 6, 1986 to Curtis and Brenda (Tharp) Cooksey in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Tonia was attending the Okmulgee Cosmetology School and would have graduated in February. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Nelson and Laver Tharp and Raymond Cooksey; two great grandmothers, Mabel Williams and Jessie Tharp, two cousins and one aunt. Survivors include her parents, Curtis and Brenda Cooksey; two children, Chase Cooksey-Cruze and Wrangler Frey; two sisters, Torie and Desiare Cooksey; grandmother, Dorothy Cooksey and numerous other relatives. Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, July 22, 2010 at the Shurden-Jackson Funeral Home in Okmulgee with Pastor Jim Birch officiating. Burial will follow the service at the Morris Cemetery under the direction of the Shurden-Jackson Funeral Home in Okmulgee. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 12:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Shurden-Jackson Funeral Home in Okmulgee. Pallbearers will be Mike, John, Garrett, Ray Bar, Chris, James and Don. A dinner will be served following the service at the Twin Hills Public School.
