Thomas Michael Martin

Thomas Michael Martin went to be with The Lord on Saturday, July 13, 2019, at 8:53pm. Tom was born October 23, 1943 at 3:29pm in Scammon, KS in the home of his parents, Tony and Ethel L Martin. (He would always include his time of birth whenever asked when he was born).

Survived by his wife Debra Martin or as he would call her Mrs. Wonderful; children, Patrick (Diane) Martin, Summer (Michael) Keylon, Sandra (James) Lambert, Thomas Martin II; Grandchildren Amanda (Paul) Stuff, Hannah Martin, Tessa Martin, Megan (Schuyler) Mullins , Madison Martin, and Stephen Martin, Hailey Keylon, Michael Keylon Jr. , Isaac Johns Lambert, Zechariah Lambert, Joshua Hosey Lambert, Noah Hosey Lambert, Lillian Lambert and Great Grandson, Kevin Stuff.

Tom was affectionately called Shuggie by his wife of 26 years, Daddy by his children, Papa by his grandchildren , Uncle Tom by all his nieces and nephews and Tommy by the Martin family. Just as Mother Teresa shared, “ Love cannot remain by itself – it has no meaning. Love has to be put into action, and that action is service.” This was Tom as he let Debra into a part of his life that none had known.

For over 15 years he traveled monthly to Houston, TX for business; he left money at a gas station for the homeless to be able to come in to get food and drink and whatever other necessities they needed.

During his trips to Houston he saved all his change and before leaving on his last day, he would go to a certain bridge where all the homeless knew him. They would run up to Tom excitedly saying, “Hey Tom we've missed you” he then would give all his change to the homeless. Tom truly loved and inspired us all.

Viewing and visitation will be 5:00PM-8:00PM, Monday July 22, 2019 at Schaudt’s Tulsa Funeral Service, 5757 S Memorial Drive, Tulsa, OK.

The Celebrating of Tom’s Life will be 6:00PM, Tuesday, July 23, 2019 at Iglesia Victory Church, 10811 East 41st Street, Tulsa, OK. Graveside interment services will be held 11:00AM Wednesday, July 24, 2019, at Memorial Park Cemetery, 5111 S Memorial Drive, Tulsa, OK.
