Thomas Eugene Perryman, a resident of Okay, passed away Monday, February 3, 2014 at the age of 73. He was born October 29, 1940 to Lewis and Mary (Miller) Perryman in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Eugene graduated from Coweta High School in 1959 and played high school football for the Coweta Tigers. He served in the United States Army as a sharp shooter. He was a lifetime member of the Broken Arrow Indian United Methodist Church and was a member of the Beggs Roundup Club, where he was undefeated for 10 years in the wagon races. Eugene enjoyed hunting, fishing and bowling. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jacqueline Louise Perryman in 1992; parents, Lewis and Mary Perryman; brother, Henry Clay Perryman and steps-son, Lance White. Survivors include his son, Rodney Perryman and daughter, Shelli Thomas both of Coweta; four stepchildren, Vicki Woods of Pawnee, Bart White of Tulsa, Leann Ruth and husband, James of Sapulpa and Shawn Johnston of Mounds; six sisters, Irene McHenry of Tulsa; Agnes Perryman of Choctaw, Judy Poindexter of Coweta, Shirley Wilton of Broken Arrow, Tenah Neuendorf and husband, Ed of Coweta and Elizabeth Sample and husband, Matthew of Haskell; two brothers, Dean Perryman and wife, Darlene of Newalla and Lewis Perryman of Coweta; four grandchildren, Cheyenne Thomas, Raymond Perryman, Richard Perryman and Robert Perryman; forty step-grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends. Wake Services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at the Broken Arrow Indian United Methodist Church. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, March 6, 2014 at the Broken Arrow Indian United Methodist Church with Reverend Anna Stilwell officiating. Burial will follow the service at the Bixby Cemetery under the direction of the Jackson Funeral Home in Okmulgee. Pallbearers will be Jason Perryman, Lewis Sutphin, Hank Perryman, Roy Tucker, Johnny Perryman, Lewis Cash, Jay Sample and Vernon Poindexter. Honorary Pallbearers will be Rodney Perryman, Chuck McHenry and James Casey. Military Honors will be conducted by the Muscogee Creek Nation Honor Guard and the Patriot Guard Riders.
