Thomas Dwayne Mayes

Thomas Dwayne Mayes, 63, of Weleetka, OK, passed away Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at his sister's residence in Tulsa. Thomas and his twin brother, Jerry were born in Tahlequah, OK on January 13, 1954 to Gladys (Barnett) and Samuel Mayes.

Thomas served in the U.S. Army and worked as a handyman. He loved to listen to 70's blues and rock and roll music; played the drums; like to paint, draw and use watercolors; he loved to go camping; and made walking canes and Indian flutes, he loved to cook and had worked as a head cook at a restaurant in Branson, MO.

Thomas was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters: Sue Bilbe and Betty Ben; a brother, James Mayes; and two children: Crystal and Joshua. He is survived by two sisters: Sandra Winn and her husband, Jon; Martina Rybski and her husband, Richard; a brother, Jerry Mayes and his wife, Donna Mayes.

A memorial service will be held 2:00 PM, Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at Christ Community Church, 810 Creek Ave. Weleetka, Ok 74880.
