Terry Lynn Dikeman, 68, passed away October 26th in Tulsa, OK. He was born December 15, 1947 in Wichita, KS to Doris (Daniels) Dikeman and Jack W. Dikeman.
He was raised in Tulsa, OK, where he graduated from Nathan Hale High School. He then went on to earn a Fine Arts degree in Music from NEO graduating in 1967. In 1968 he was drafted into the Army where he served two years stationed in Germany. After discharge from the Army in 1970 he returned to Tulsa, OK where he began his career as a keyboard salesman until his retirement in 2010 from Music Sound World. Terry was a well known, highly regarded jazz pianist. He played for years as a single act at the Petroleum Club and then also in numerous local bands: The Four Kings, First Choice and The Metro Gnomes. He was revered as a pioneer of early local music scene.
Terry was a loving husband, father and grandfather, he dearly loved spending time with his grandkids. He was a lover of nature, often referred to as a "squirrel whisperer." Terry loved spending time with his wife, working in the yard and riding his bike for miles down Riverside, he just loved to be outside. He was loved very much and will be greatly missed by many.
Terry is survived by his wife, Lucille Gunn, his brother, Randy Dikeman, his son, Cory Dikeman, his daughter, Khalin Higgins, his daughter-in-law Shannon Hawks, his grandchildren, Noah and Madison Higgins, his nieces, Jennifer Schnelle and January Dikeman.
