Terry Lee Cunningham, 80, of Tulsa, OK, passed away Thursday evening, June 22, 2017, at the Claremore Veterans Center in Claremore.
Terry was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on February 11, 1937, a son of the late Esther (Gibson) and Charles Eugene Cunningham.
He served in the U.S. Navy proudly from February 1955 until his honorable discharge February 1959.
He was the husband of Cecilia (Flohr) Cunningham; they were married on May 28, 1966 in Nevada.
He worked as a Foreman in a Sugar Mill for American Crystal Sugar Company in Clarksburg, CA. His hobbies included fishing, vegetable gardening, reading science & astronomy magazines, watching documentaries about different historical events; he was a handyman who always took pride in his work.
He is preceded in death by parents, Charles and Esther; brother, Jim Cunningham; and grandson, Charles Eugene Cunningham.
Terry leaves many loving memories with his family, wife, Cecilia; two daughters, Rita Levell and spouse Cindy Cockrill; Elizabeth Hampton and husband Dale; three sons Jim Levell and wife Beatrice, Jeff Levell, and wife Debbie, and Monty Cunningham; sister, Marylou Barrows, and husband Jack; two brothers, Gene Cunningham, and Glen Cunningham and wife Linda; 7 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and many other loving relatives and a host of friends.
Graveside Memorial services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday June 27, 2017 at Woodland Memorial Park in Sand Springs, OK, with Chaplain Henry Bartlett officiating. Military Honors will be provided by the U.S. Navy Funeral Honors Team.
