Terry Lee Cain

Terry Lee Cain, a beloved member of the Stilwell, Oklahoma community, passed away on March 20, 2024, at the age of 78. Born on October 8, 1945, Terry was the son of Flo Cain and Letha Caldwell, both of whom preceded him in death.

Terry leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. He is survived by his children: Curtis Cain (Jennifer), Charles Cain, Neal Cain (Kim Chi), Beau Cain, Candis Cain, and Kevin Cain (Sam). He was a proud grandfather to Elizabeth, Ashton, Heidi, Chloe, Carter, Macenzie, Cain, Cooper, Gunner, Willow, and their families, including numerous great-grandchildren. Terry is also survived by his siblings, Debrah, Dian, and Dale.

Growing up in Welling, Oklahoma, Terry found joy in the simple pleasures of life. As an adult, he found solace in hunting and fishing, passionately supporting Sooner Football, and cherishing time spent with his grandchildren. Terry was known for his unwavering commitment to his community. For over 30 years, he served as Smokey the Bear, visiting schools and instilling the importance of fire safety in the hearts of countless children.

A man of many talents and interests, Terry had a deep love for music and enjoyed playing the guitar. He found camaraderie in evenings spent at the casino with friends, showcasing his quick wit and infectious humor wherever he went.

Terry's laid-back demeanor and easygoing nature endeared him to all who knew him. He found joy in the simplicity of life, whether it was a round of golf with his son or a game of Mexican Train, marbles, or Dominos with friends and family.

In his passing, Terry leaves behind a void that cannot be filled, but his memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. He will be remembered for his laughter, his kindness, and his zest for life. May he rest in peace, knowing he touched the lives of many with his warmth and generosity.
