Tammy Valerie Audra Hope Spears

July 27, 1966 — June 26, 2023

Tammy Valerie Audra Hope Spears passed from this life, too soon, at 56 years of age, on Monday June 26th, 2023.

Tammy was born the seventh of nine children, on July 27, 1966 in Tulsa, Oklahoma where she lived a life she dedicated to the caring and wellbeing of others. In 1986 she started, what would be, a successful career in the nursing and medical industry where she would make a difference in the lives of so many as a mentor, colleague or caretaker. As an adult, Tammy who already had her Associates Degree, continued her education, furthering her degree and becoming a Registered Nurse, because, despite her knowledge and success, Tammy always sought out ways to better herself and encouraged those around her to do so as well.

She was a strong and selfless woman who would give what she had, without hesitation, to someone in need. She pushed those she cared about, never asking for anything in return, only for the joy to see them succeed. She took reward in the happiness of others more-so than any material gift.

Tammy would never give anyone or anything.... no task, hobby or challenge... less than everything she could (and then still maybe some). She was a strong and passionate woman whose love for her family ran deep and was second only to her love of her Lord. She enjoyed music, traveling, animals, beautiful sunsets or a good storm, being around others and the little things in life.

As a servant of the Lord she endured many trials and tribulations but she prevailed. Her journey, while fraught, was hard-won... but it was won. She survived a great many things but, it would seem, it was time for her battles to end. Her struggles to cease and for her to be freed from this life to be with her Lord and those who preceded her in death including her parents, Nolan and Rea Belle Spears, her sister, Toni Spears and her brothers Charles and Richard Spears.

Those who knew Tammy will always remember the kind soul she was... the eternal giver in a world where there are few. She will live on in the hearts of those who survive Tammy, including her daughter, Cassaundra McComas, her close sister, Linda Walls, her brothers Donald Spears, Ronald Spears, John Spears and Eric Spears, many beloved nephews and nieces, whom she loved as if they were her own sons and daughters, as well as several dear friends and colleagues. All of whom who cherish the impact Tammy made in their lives.

The world is, and will be, a sadder place without her beauty in it and she will be deeply missed by a great many.

Services will be held at Schaudt’s Funeral Service & Cremation Care in Glenpool, OK on Friday July 7th at 2pm.
