Suzanne Haines

February 28, 1969 — March 30, 2025

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Suzanne "Suzie" Marie Haines, 56, who went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Christ Jesus, on Sunday, March 30, 2025, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, after a courageous 18-month battle with glioblastoma. She passed peacefully, surrounded by her loving family and friends at Clarehouse in Tulsa.

A wake will be held on April 3, 2025, at 5:30 PM at Fellowship Bible Church, 5434 E 91st St, Tulsa, OK 74137. Her funeral service will take place the following day, April 4, 2025, at 10:00 AM, also at Fellowship Bible Church. You're welcome to attend a lunch that will be provided at the church to follow immediately after a private family burial. The lunch will start at 12:00 PM at Fellowship Bible Church.

Suzie was born on February 28, 1969, in St. Petersburg, Florida, while her father was serving in Vietnam. As the daughter of an Army officer, she lived in many places throughout her childhood, but one of her fondest memories was her family's time in Germany.

Her love story began in Stillwater, Oklahoma, where she met Samuel Henry "Hank" Haines at the doorway of Eskimo Joe's, introduced by a mutual friend. Their romance flourished, leading to a wedding on May 11, 1991-on the very same day she graduated from Oklahoma State University. That day was especially memorable, with commencement speaker George H.W. Bush and the first appearance of Eskimo Joe's famous bacon cheese fries.

In 1996, Suzie and Hank moved to Tulsa and in 1999 they co-founded Sequoyah Technologies (now SEQTEK) with Kurt and Anne Green. In 2006, Suzie took on the role of office manager and bookkeeper, contributing immensely to the company's success. Her son, Sam, now carries on her legacy at SEQTEK, a place where he and his mother shared daily lunch dates.

Suzie's world revolved around her faith, family, and love for soccer. She was a devoted mother to Ashley, Sam, and Megan, and a cherished Gigi to her grandchildren, Sophia Rose and Archie Gabriel Roberts. Her bond with Ashley was one of deep friendship, growing even stronger as Ashley, now married to Dylan Roberts, became a mother herself. Suzie was also an unwavering Oklahoma State University fan, proud Alpha Chi Omega sister, and proudly sporting orange and black at every opportunity, appropriate or not. A former club soccer player in the Big 8 at OSU, she was thrilled to see her youngest daughter, Megan, follow in her footsteps as a player for the Oklahoma State Cowgirls. One of the most cherished moments of the past year was Suzie's graduation from rehab at the Kaiser Rehabilitation Center-just in time to attend Megan's last Bedlam game, a victory for Oklahoma State.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Suzie's honor to The Excellence Fund for the Oklahoma State Women's Soccer Team: https://secure.osugiving.com/s/giving/athletics.

Suzie was preceded in death by her father, Maj. Ronald Joseph Comeau, Ret. She is survived by her beloved husband, Samuel H. Haines III; her children, Ashley Brooke Roberts and her husband, Dylan G. Roberts, Samuel H. Haines IV, and Megan Nichole Haines; her adored grandchildren, Sophia Rose Roberts and Archie Gabriel Roberts; her mother, Mary Anne Comeau; her brother, Ronald Comeau Jr.; her sisters, Michelle Comeau and Mary Comeau; and numerous other relatives and friends.

We will miss her endearing spirit, unwavering faith, and ability to bring everyone together through love, laughter, and sometimes a heated OSU game. Go Pokes!
