Suzane Kee passed away on February 10, 2019, just days after her 89th birthday. She was the daughter of Charles Parker and Hattie Rendel Parker Haney, and lived a full and active life. Suzane attended the University of Tulsa but spent most of her adult life in San Diego and retired from San Diego Hospice. She came from a musical family and played the violin, flute, and piano. At one point, she performed in four community bands in the San Diego area. Suzane was never afraid to try new things and even owned a sailboat. She moved to Tulsa in 2002 and volunteered as a Board Member for the Republican Women’s Club of Tulsa County. She was Woman of the Year for the Club in 2013 and was inducted in the Republican Women First Ladies of Oklahoma. Suzane was a member of the Sooner 95 Investment Club, and also enjoyed outings with her fellow Solo Sisters. She was an avid gardener, former volunteer at the Tulsa Garden Club, and enjoyed creating topiaries in her yard. Suzane was preceded in death by her husband Tom Kee; daughter Nathalia Quirk; sister Anne Parker; and stepsisters Imogene Haney Stanberry and Maxine Haney Merker. She is survived by her daughter Leslie Champ (Mark Zander); son-in-law Bill Kahler; stepchildren Mark Kee, Susan (Walt) Edinger, and Jim (Lea) Kee; grandchildren Karl and Julia Edinger, and Robbie and Kellie Kee; stepsister Betty Haney McKibben; six nieces, and a host of friends. Services will be held on February 23, 2019, 10:00 am, at Schaudt’s Funeral Service, 5757 S. Memorial Drive, Tulsa. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Cookson Hills Christian School in Kansas, OK (cooksonhills.org).
