Sue Ann Unruh of Okmulgee, Oklahoma passed away, January 29, 2021 at her home at the age of 74.
Sue was born February 22, 1946, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to her parents, Arthur and Lois (Bruner) Schrameck.
In her younger years, Sue was a Girl Scout troop leader. Sue was always up for an adventure. One such adventure resulted in driving her children around Roman Nose State Park in reverse because their car broke down and she could not get it to any gear other than reverse. Sue was active in her local church, Trinity Lutheran, where she was a long time, active member. Sue loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and she loved and adored her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. As one of her grandchildren, Colton Bertus described her, “Memaw would give the shirt off her back for anyone and expect nothing in return”.
Sue has been retired for twelve years after working for OSU-Okmulgee and Ball Brothers in Okmulgee, Oklahoma. Sue graduated Okmulgee High School in 1964 and later in life obtained her Associates Degree from Tulsa County Community College in May of 1997.
She is preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers, Ross Schrameck, Larry Schrameck, Eddie Schrameck and one sister, Darlene, (Schrameck) McVay.
She is survived by one sister, Edy McCoy, Texas, daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Bill Reynolds, Beebe, Arkansas, daughter and son-in-law, Ronda Bertus-Hayes and Curtis Hayes, Edmond, Oklahoma, son and daughter-in-law, Tony and Silvia Unruh, Pell City, Alabama, daughter and son-in-law, Kassie and Derick Slater, Okmulgee, Oklahoma, 13 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, with one on the way, and numerous nieces and nephews. Sue leaves many loving memories to be cherished by her friends and family.
A funeral service celebrating her life will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, February 1, 2021 at Trinity Lutheran, 1314 E 6th St, Okmulgee, Oklahoma, with Reverend Dr. Christian C. Tiews officiating. A visitation will be held on Sunday, January 31, 2021 at Schaudt’s Okmulgee Chapel from 3:00 - 5:00 PM.
