Steven Glenn Rackley, 57, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, September 26, 2017. He was born on January 28th, 1960 in New Orleans, LA, the son of Addie Lou (McGarrah) and Ernest Glenn Rackley.
Steve Graduated from the University of Texas Arlington with a bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Marketing; and he was a member of the Sigma Phi Epsilon Texas Kappa Chapter.
On July 7, 1984 Steve married the love of his life, Susan Marie Kubiak in Arlington, Texas. They are devout Catholics and were recently attending the Catholic Church of Saint Mary in Tulsa.
For the past five years, Steve worked for Petro Globe Energy, as the Director of Operations. He enjoyed his job and the challenges he had to face.
Steve loved telling jokes and making people laugh; always making sure they walked away with a smile on their face. He had a way of making those around him feel at ease. People will remember Steve as a loving and caring man, and always putting his family first.
Survivors include his wife, Susan (Kubiak) Rackley; three sons, Ryan Rackley of Houston, Texas, Nathan Rackley of Kearney, Nebraska, and Nicholas Rackley of Tyler, Texas; his parents, Addie (McGarrah) and Ernest Rackley of Irving, Texas; two sisters, Sherry Rackley of Bedford, Texas, and Shawna Mullins and husband Jeff of Plano, Texas. Steve is also survived by four nieces, Brandi Bowen, Marianne Bowen, Jenna Mullins, and Jessica Mullins; a nephew, Jack Mullins; and one great-nephew, Matt Bowen.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 1, 2017 from 5:00 - 7:00 PM with a Rosary beginning at 7 PM at Schaudt's Tulsa Funeral Service.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, October 2, 2017 at 10:00 AM at the Catholic Church of Saint Mary, 1347 E 49th Pl. Tulsa, with Father Jack Gleason officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for a memorial donation to be made in Steven Rackley’s name to The San Miguel School of Tulsa.
