Steven Eugene Mortensen passed away Tuesday, July 10, 2018. He was 70.
Steven was born on June 24, 1948 in Denver, Colorado. He was the son of Esther Mae (McClymond) Mortensen and William Steven Mortensen.
The family moved from Colorado to Arkansas and finally settled down in Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1962.
Steven was a 1964 graduate from Rogers High School. After graduation he was drafted to the United States Navy on September 2, 1966. He was stationed in Danang and proudly served our country for four years.
Steven went on to obtain his bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
In 1991 he married the love of his life, Dianna Lynn (Lemon) Mortensen.
Steven was a member of the Coffee Bunker.
He had a creative mind as an artist and was often drawing on his free time. Steven also had a love for hunting and fishing and spent many days at lake Oolagah waiting for a bite. He was personable and had a sarcastic personality. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Dianna Lynn (Lemon) Mortensen and his parents, Esther Mae (McClymond) Mortensen and William Steven Mortensen.
Survivors include a sister, Michelle Ward; brother, Randy Mortensen and his wife, Barbara; two nephews, Mark Mortensen and Heath Willmann and his son, Chuck.
