Steven D. Strain

Steven D. Strain (Mercer) age 37 passed away on Wednesday, September 10, 2008 at Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Steven was born in Sapulpa, Oklahoma on October 20, 1970. He was raised by his adopted parents Ronnie and Kathy Mercer. He attended Sapulpa schools. Steven worked in construction and most recently he worked for Mill Creek Lumber Company.
Steven loved fishing, all kinds of sports, camping and listening to music. His life revolved around his four children and his four month old granddaughter (JaNessa RayLynn Watson).
He was preceded in death by four grandfathers and three grandmothers.
Steven is survived by his parents: Ronnie and Kathy Mercer of Glenpool; three daughters: Kayla RayAnn Strain and her fiancée, Tony Watson of Sapulpa; Jamie Denise (Strain) Headley and RayDen KiAnn Strain of Bristow; one son: Jonathan Kile Strain of Bristow; two sisters: Shawna Renee Parker of Sapulpa, Mary Louise Clagg and her fiancée, Chris Newman of Tulsa; four brothers: Donnie Strain (Mercer) and wife, Casey of Hominy; Bobby Adkins and wife, Darlene of Broken Arrow; Randy Riley and Andrea; Patrick Fox and WaDena of Sapulpa; his grandmother, Ruby Combs of Glenpool along with numerous cousins, aunts, uncles, family members and friends.
Pallbearers are: Jacob Brooner, Marco Talamantes, Dan Headley, Patrick Fox, Bobby Adkins, Matt Powell, Chris Newman and Calvin Miller, Jr.
Honorary Pallbearers are: DonAvan Strain; Jonathan Strain, Donnie Strain, Nathan Clagg, Zack Miller, Raymon Miller and Randy Riley.
