Stephen Dean Skadal

Stephen Dean Skadal, 58, passed away Friday September 2, 2011 at the Veterans Hospital in Oklahoma City after a lengthy illness. Steve was born December 31, 1952 in Des Moines, Iowa to Chris & Virginia Skadal. Steve attended Preston High School before he entered the US Army at the age of 17. He also worked in the oil field, Ball Brothers before the plant closed and for the Boilermakers Local 592. Stephen loved God and never met a stranger. He was about God's business showing God's love everywhere he went. He was the favorite uncle to his nieces and nephews. He is survived by his wife of 39 years Vickie Skadal of Checotah, daughter, Stacy Skadal of Muskogee, brothers, Chris Skadal and wife Sherry of Checotah, Allen Skadal and wife Tammy of Lancaster, PA, sisters, Sharon Hunt and husband Clyde of Checotah, Donna Morgan of Henryetta, Sandra Ator and husband Floyd of Okmulgee, Patty Angelo of Tulsa, grandson, Aaron Skadal, granddaughter, Ashlyn Skadal, as well as numerous other relatives and friends. A Memorial Service will be held 3:00 P.M. Tuesday September 6, 2011 at Preston Assembly of God Church in Okmulgee with Rev. Chip Howington will be officiating. Services under the direction of Shurden-Jackson Funeral Home in Okmulgee.
