Stephen Allen Nevener

Stephen Allen Nevener was born on April 14, 1951 and went to Heaven on February 1, 2022 at the age of 70, after a long battle with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. He went home to be with the Lord, while he was surrounded by his family. Steve was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, but was raised in Wewoka, OK by his maternal grandparents, Cyrus and Marie Gordon. Steve served in the US Navy from 1970-1971. Steve was married to Karen Leigh Davis on June 24, 1972. This June would have been their 50th wedding anniversary. Together they raised three (3) wonderful children; Stephen Davis Nevener, Andrea Marie Lucas, Stephenie Gretchel Nevener. Steve was a wonderful father to his children, but he was also a father and mentor to so many others. He loved to work with his hands and was a master manual machinist for many years. Steve will be remembered most for his love for the Lord, the love of his family and his love for music. Steve had a great sense of humor and he always saw the best in everyone. He loved to talk, joke, and he told the best stories. He had a Jagger Swagger and loved to sing and jam on his guitar. He was a lover, a great comforter, and friend. He will be greatly missed by all those whose lives he touched. Stephen Allen Nevener is survived by his wife Karen, children; Stephen and wife Jennifer, Andrea and husband Tim, and daughter Stephenie. Grandchildren; Madalyn, Sarah, Norah, Lauren, Miles, Elizabeth, Isaiah, Kynzie, Gracie, Isaac and Timber. His siblings; Brother's, Andy and his wife Theresa, and Damon, and sister Toni and her husband John, as well as his cousins; Tamara and Chuck. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Miller Hospice for the excellent care given to Stephen.
