Sonny Gene Ennis

A service to celebrate and honor the life of Sonny Gene Ennis will be 2:00PM Friday, February 14, 2020 at Schaudt's Tulsa Funeral Service with One Last Tailgate™ immediately following the service. Sonny fought a courageous battle with Mantle Cell Lymphoma for the past twelve months, he passed from this life February 9, 2020 at Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa, OK. He was 46.

Sonny was born April 8, 1973 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Louis and Vickie. He grew up in Jenks, Oklahoma where he graduated with the Class of 1991 and for the past twenty years lived in Bixby, OK. Sonny was a loyal and true friend and fraternity brother of the Phi Delta Theta, he graduated from Oklahoma State University with a degree in Aviation Management and then married the love of his life, Ashley Anne Malchi on May 8, 1999. They have two daughters, Chandler and Reese Ennis. His wife and girls were his whole world, and they were never apart.

He is survived by his mother: Vicki and her husband Matt Mathews, his father: Louis Ennis and his wife Vickie; his sister: Jackie Pyatt; his brother: Jason Ennis; his mother and father-in-law Randy & Cindy Malchi; his brother and sister in-laws Zach and Sasha Malchi and Grant and Abby Malchi.

He was passionate about his career at American Airlines. He loved the people and every day of his twenty-one years there. Sonny had an adventurous spirit that created a lifetime of memories for his family. He had an infectious smile and a mischievous twinkle in his eye that was loved by all who knew him.
