Sondra Lewis

Sondra Treasure Lewis (Beckstead) was born on March 17, 1945, in Seattle, Washington. She passed away on February 11, 2024, surrounded by her loved ones.

Sondra was immensely proud of her journey through nursing school, culminating in her achievement of becoming a Registered Nurse. She dedicated herself to her profession, spending many years working on the Adolescent Psych floor before transitioning to the Mother/Baby floor.

She grew up in Midwest City, but throughout her adult life, Sondra called Tulsa, Oklahoma home. She shared her life with her devoted husband, Robert Lewis. Together, they built a family filled with love and cherished memories. Sondra is survived by her children: Steven Plant (Tamara) of Fort Worth, TX, Tamella Allen (Todd) of New Ipswich, NH, Rebeckah Lewis (Schon DeSilva) of Broken Arrow, OK and her stepdaughter, Stacy Martineau (John), of Ellisville, MS.

Sondra's legacy extends through her grandchildren: Steven Plant, Jr., Elijah Plant, Sydnee Stasyszen, Dalton Plant, Avery Wade, Kimball Allen, Kailey Allen, Braeden Allen, Zack Allen, Whitney Lewis, Sienna Lewis, Madden Lewis, Lunden Martineau, Luke Martineau, and Jack Martineau. She was also blessed with great-grandchildren: Ezekiel Plant, Andalia Plant, Aviena Plant, Penelope Plant, Eleanor Plant, Charlotte Plant, Emilia Wade, and Lincoln Wade.

Her faithful companion, Maggie the dog, was a constant source of joy and comfort in Sondra's life. She found solace in the companionship of her furry friend.

Sondra was preceded in death by her parents and her stepson, Robert Michael 'Mike' Lewis.

She lived a life filled with passion and zest, enjoying hobbies like sewing, crafting quilts, and solving puzzles. Her love for the beach and her love for Elvis Presley's music were well-known among her friends and family.

Above all, Sondra will be remembered for her vibrant spirit and her determination to live life on her own terms. Her loved ones pledge to honor her legacy by embracing each moment and living life to the fullest, just as she did. Sondra Treasure Lewis (Beckstead) was not only a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother but also a beacon of love and resilience to all who knew her.
