Shirlee Matlock

Shirlee Allene Matlock passed away on March 21, 2025, in hospital care at Stroud, at the age of 89. She was born on April 7, 1935, in Cleveland, Oklahoma to Maudie and Victor Sneed.

Shirlee was a beloved sister, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She will be missed by all who loved her.

Shirlee is survived by her brothers, Don Sneed (Joan), Butch Sneed (Mary), and her sister Faye Sneed.

She is survived by her sister in laws, Gwen (Rue) Scott, Darlene (Terry) Owen, Wanda (Allison) Holeman and Ray Duncan. She is also survived by one son, Arvel Daniel Matlock III (Shirley) as well as her grandchildren Katie Hendrickson Harris (Allen), Lindsey Tell (Kevin), Kirt Matlock (Terry), Lee Daniel Matlock (Gina), Shannon Matlock (Patrick), and Dr. Stephen Matlock (Alex). Shirlee leaves behind twelve great grandchildren, Elle, Liam, Cullen, McKinsey, Noah, Luca, Harmony, Evan, E.J., Maverick, Cora, and Walt.

Shirlee was preceded in death by her beloved husband A.D. Matlock, her brother Allen Sneed, and sister-in-law Jacqueline Duncan.

Shirlee will be remembered as a pretty, strong, and creative lady who loved her family and friends. She is gone however her stories and memories will be with us in our hearts.
