Services to honor and celebrate the life of Shirley Lee Adams will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2019 at 10:00 AM at First Baptist Church of Mounds, Oklahoma.

Shirley Lee Adams, passed away with loving family by her side on August 17, 2019, at the age of 78 years. Shirley was born on March 9, 1941 in Phoenix, Arizona to her parents, William and Letha (Vestal) Cottrell.

She met the love of her life, Frank Adams, while attending high school at Liberty-Morris. They were married on June 28, 1960 in Muskogee, Oklahoma. Attending college together at Northeastern State University, pursuing a career in education. Shirley was an educator for 30 years at Mounds Schools.

She is preceded in death by husband, Frank Adams, father, William Cottrell, mother, Letha Cottrell, and grandson, Hunter.

Shirley leaves many loving memories with her family, Steve Adams and wife Lisa of Broken Arrow, Pam Jones and husband Robert of Haskell, Stanley Adams and wife Christine of Mounds, seven grandchildren- Alex, Skyler, Hunter, Alison, Stevie, Parker, Anna and Chaiden, one great-grandchild- William and three fur babies, Rambo, Lucy, and Rosey.
