Shirley Gail Blue

Shirley Gail Blue age 73 passed away Thursday, November 20, 2014 at her Tulsa residence surrounded by her loving family members.

Shirley was born November 2, 1941 in Russellville, Arkansas to Gerdell Irene (Stanwood) and Louie Vernon Carothers. She married the love of her life, Edward James Blue on December 3, 1960 at Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Shirley was a homemaker and will be remembered for being a loving and caring wife , mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed reading in her spare time.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Geraldine Jones.

She is survived by her husband, Edward James of Tulsa; two daughters: Renee, wife of Paul Daniel, of Owasso, OK; Stacie, wife of Dave Prater, of Skiatook, OK; a son: Mike, husband of Samantha Blue, of Claremore, OK; a sister: Judy, wife of Wayne Webb, of Russellville, AR; three brothers, Charles, husband of Edna Carothers, of Russellville, AR.; Paul, husband of Shirley Carothers, of Russellville, AR; Benny, husband of Joannie Carothers, of Owasso, OK. She is also survived by survived by 10 Grandchildren and 3 Great Grandchildren, along with other family members, friends and acquaintances.

Visitation will be Sunday, November 23, 2014 from 1:00p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Schaudt’s Funeral Service Chapel.

Funeral services are Monday, November 24, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Schaudt’s Funeral Service Chapel, 719 E. 141st, Glenpool, Oklahoma. Reverend Ray Crawford will officiate. Interment will follow at AJ Powell Cemetery in Hominy, Oklahoma.

Pallbearers will be: Mitch Daniel, Bryce Blue, Alex Blue, Jamie Blue, Steven Brannon, and Aaron Morris. Honorary Pallbearers are: Shannon Daniel and Melvin Blue.
