Shirley Anne Wilson

Shirley Anne Wilson age 75, loving wife, mother, and grandmother passed to eternal life Thursday, October 1, 2009 in Glenpool, Oklahoma.
Shirley was born September 19, 1934 to Alex and Florence Smith in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. She married her husband Jimmie Wilson in Mesa, Arizona on May 21, 1954; they were married 55 years.
Shirley was a homemaker, telephone operator, and hospital receptionist. She enjoyed family, genealogy, reading, playing piano & accordion, and collecting antiques. Shirley was a member of the LDS church since 1969 and was a long time companion and friend to sister Gertrude Clift.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents: Alex and Florence Smith; her brothers: Jack Smith, Donald Smith, Jim Smith, Joe Smith, Charles Smith; her sisters Gertrude Clift, Ollie Yetter, Irma Estey, Virginia Hutchinson.
Shirley is survived by her husband: Jimmie Wilson; her brother: Paul Smith; her children: Tamara Hollander, Steven Wilson, Cheri Kent; her grandchildren: Joshua Hollander, Christa Hollander-Scott, Jessica Smith, William Kent; her great-grandchildren: Destiny Kapple, Aedan Smith; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Shirley had a gentle, gracious, giving spirit and she will live on in our hearts, always.
Services will be held 12:00 pm Wednesday, October 7th at Schaudt's Glenpool Funeral Service Chapel, 719 E. 141st St. Glenpool, OK (918) 291-1700.
