Shelvy Dean Davis Shelvy Dean Davis, a resident of Okmulgee, passed away Thursday, December 30, 2010 at the age of 57. He was born May 6, 1953 to Shelvy and Viola Elizabeth (Bowdler) Davis in Henryetta, Oklahoma. He worked as a road supervisor with the Okmulgee County District II. He was preceded in death by his parents, Shelvy and Viola Davis and sister, Donna Rogers. Survivors include his wife of 24 years, Carolyn Davis of the home; four children, Ronald “Troy” Morgaridge and wife, Annie of Enid, Cherrie Morgaridge of Enid, Charlotte Fansher and husband, Norman of Drummond and Shelvy Davis-Tribble of Oklahoma City; three sisters, Irma Cassell of Moore, Sharon Morris of Del City and Glenda Wilson of Moore; brother, Glenn Davis of Warner; five grandchildren; one great grandchild and many nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at the Shurden-Jackson Funeral Home in Henryetta with Sister Renee Ross and Bobby Hardridge officiating. Burial will follow the service at the Westlawn Cemetery under the direction of the Shurden-Jackson Funeral Home in Henryetta. Pallbearers will be Glen Davis, Troy Morgaridge, Cotie Morgaridge, Harold Prater, Ron Cassell and Mike Wilson. Honorary Pallbearers will be Henry Dean Fansher, Casey Simmons, Shane Rogers and Gary Lee Rogers. Visitation will be held Sunday from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Monday from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Shurden-Jackson Funeral Home in Henryetta.
