Shelly Mccarty

April 1, 1973 — November 16, 2014

Rachelle "Shelly" Rene McCarty passed away Sunday morning, November 16, 2014 at her home in Tulsa. She was born April 1, 1973 in Marion, Indiana to Kenneth and Karen Lane. Shelly graduated from Rogers High School. She attended Tulsa Community and Platt College where she was a member of Phi Theta Kappa. She officially married the love of her life, Belinda on October 6, 2014. They celebrated 13 years together. Shelly was always cracking jokes and she was never considered shy by anyone. She loved athletic sneakers....especially Nike. She had shoes in every color and style. She also loved her Sons of Anarchy shirts. Everything had to match and have a cross on it. Her faith and spirituality were very important to her. She was a member of Fellowship Congregational Church for 10 years. Shelly loved the teachings of Buddha, particularly the teachings of peace and tranquility. According to those closest to her, "She had a heart of gold and a passion to serve and care for others."

Shelly is survived by her spouse Belinda McCarty; her daughter Maura McCarty and son Mark "Dusty" Delcambre; her mother Karen Davidson and her father Kenneth Gunter; her brothers Vance, Jeff, and Buddy Kierstead; her sisters January Hoskins and Wynette Thompson; her aunt Robin Wier and uncle Joe; her stepdaughter Tiffany Turner; and her sister and brother-in-law Laura and Steve Terry.
