Shawn Eric Rogers

Shawn Eric Rogers, 33, went to be with the Lord on July 13, 2020. Shawn was born on February 16, 1987 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. His parents are Teresa and Vince Fleischman and David and Lisa Rogers. Shawn had four siblings; his twin brother Casey Rogers, brother Michael Rogers and his wife Jessica, Christopher Rogers and sister Lisa Cottrell and husband Grant. Nieces and nephews include Kaydan Rogers, Tucker and Chandler Rogers, Zander and Evelyn Rogers and Owen, Nathan and Addison Cottrell. Shawn’s paternal grandparents are John and Deanna Stewart and maternal grandparents Angus and Wanda Wilson. Aunts and uncles are Kenny, Dennis, Jeff and Brad Rogers, Cindy Platt, Angie O’Neal and Joanna Iturbe. Shawn also leaves behind many loving cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Angus and Wanda Wilson and Ken Rogers along with his Godmother Patricia Gafkjen.



Shawn lit up the room when he walked in! He had an infectious smile and a goofy sense of humor that made everyone happy. He loved everyone with all of his heart and soul. Shawn had been working very hard on his relationship with God during the past year. He attended Life Church where he was involved in the children’s ministry and a men’s group, “Band of Brothers” that he enjoyed immensely. The day that Shawn was baptized was the happiest day of his life with his family by his side. As he focused more and more on his relationship with God he wrote pages and pages of journals chronicling his life and the challenges and victories he experienced. He wanted others to see God through him and lead them to the Lord.



Shawn had recently started a new job with AT&T and he was proud of his accomplishments, loved his co-workers and was looking forward to a long career with a wonderful company.



Memorial Services honoring the life of Shawn will be held 4:00 PM July 22, 2020 at LifeChurch-Midtown.
