Graveside Services will be held honoring and remembering the life of Sharon Lynn (Patterson) Stratton, on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at 10am, Woodlawn Cemetery, Claremore. She passed away on Sunday, October 14, 2018 with her family by her side. She was 85.

Sharon was born and raised in Claremore, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Martha Lynn (Buster) Patterson and Homer George Patterson.

A lifelong resident of Claremore, OK, Sharon graduated from Claremore High School in 1951. In 1953 Sharon married William L. Stratton. Sharon was employed as an Administrative Assistant at the Rogers County Health Department for more than 30 years. Sharon enjoyed spending her time reading, cooking and especially working in her garden. Many people were surprised to find out that she loved to listen to Rock n' Roll, Jazz and Motown music. She lived for her daughters and loved spending time with them. Together they often would go shopping, to the movies or out to eat at one of her many favorite Mexican restaurants. Sharon was always smiling, she had a natural loving personality and she never met a stranger. She will be remembered as sweet, generous and compassionate by all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, William Stratton; brother, Thomas Patterson and sister, Veta Phelps.

Survivors include two daughters, Kimberly Stratton (Jeff Allen) of Tulsa; and Lyndse Stratton (Billie Gavin) of Dallas, TX. She also leaves numerous nieces and nephews, friends, her wonderful caregivers Rebekah and Alex and her beloved cat, Sam.

The family will hold a Celebration of Sharon’s life Saturday, October 20, from 1 – 3pm at Aberdeen Heights, 7220 S. Yale, Tulsa.

In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Sharon to the Alzheimer's Association, The American Lung Association, The Arthritis Foundation, or Season’s Hospice, Tulsa.
