It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Sharon Alice "Sherry" Munsch Knight, who left this world on March 30, 2025, while her beloved husband stood by her side. Sherry was born on March 2, 1945, in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. She lived a life filled with love and possessed an unwavering spirit that touched everyone she met.
Sherry was known for her warm smile and her ability to light up a room. She had a unique gift for making people feel special and valued, always taking the time to listen and offer her support. Her kindness and compassion, which she considered a superpower, were evident in everything she did, whether it was volunteering at Animal Aid, caring for her colony of feral cats, or sharing a glass of wine with her husband, Jim Knight, and best friends and neighbors, Jane and Terry Krout.
As a devoted wife, Sherry poured all of her heart and soul into her husband. She cherished every moment spent with Jim, starting when they met in Chickasha, Oklahoma, in 1966. Everything Sherry did, she did for Jim. She often said that she had known he was the one for her the very first moment she laid eyes on him. After a whirlwind courtship, they married on January 15, 1967, during Superbowl I. Sherry stood by Jim during all the ups and downs of their 58 year marriage, creating memories that Jim will treasure forever.
Sherry is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Terry and Paul Cedar. She also leaves behind four children and their families: Shannon Knight, Brian Smith and their daughter Sammie; JD Knight, Betty Steward and their children and grandchildren; Amy and Justin Teague and their son Brayden; and Jennie Knight and her daughter Josalyn Sanders. Sherry was preceded in death by her parents, Ruth and Al Munsch, and sister, Merry Baldwin.
