Sharon Kay Hopper

A memorial service will be held honoring and remembering the life of Sharon Kay Hopper on Saturday, November 17, 2018 at 1:30 PM at Hallett Community Center; 385 6th Ave, Hallett, OK 74034. Sharon passed away Thursday, November 8, 2018. She was 73.

Sharon was born on July 18, 1945 in Hominy, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Mamie Alexander Carl and William Marlow Garrison.

On January 19, 1972 she married the love of her life, Walter A. Hopper, who precedes her is passing.

Sharon was employed by the Tulsa World to deliver papers, worked at Munsingwear as an inspector and folder but her favorite job was running a daycare. She ran it out of her home through the department of human services. She treated each kid like they were her own.

Sharon loved to cook for her family and friends. She had a large collection of music boxes that played "Love Story" and she also enjoyed listening to country music. With a big heart for animals, she enjoyed raising shelties and poodle dogs in her home. Traveling was something Sharon found relaxing and enlightening. Her favorite spot to travel to was Alaska.

She is survived by her son, Jeffery Scott Garrison; three grandchildren, Matthew Garrison, Terra Kay Garrison and Lacie Jade Walters and three great-grandchildren, Chloe Anne Garrison, Carson Lee Walters and Maximus Wade Ludlow.

Her family loved her and will miss her dearly; brother, Bobby Copper of Hominy; sisters, the late Carol Taylor and brother in law, George Taylor of Hominy, Brenda Smith and her husband, Clarence of Hallett, Deanna Bohard and the late Jerry Bohard of Hominy, Joie Ratliff and her husband, Gerald of Hominy, Pat Dawson and the late Tony Dawson of Hutchinsons, KS and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
