Sharon Christine Jackson

Sharon M. Jackson, 76, beloved mother of four, of Tulsa OK, passed away of natural causes on April 16, 2023 while surrounded by her family.

Sharon was born to Madeline and Robert Mills in Lubbock TX on November 15, 1946. She was the oldest of four children. The family settled in Tulsa in 1954. Sharon graduated from Edison High School in 1964.

She met and married Mustafa Kizilkaya while they both attended Oklahoma State University. They had two daughters, Seline and Brenna. They immigrated to Turkey, but Sharon and her daughters returned to Tulsa a few years later.

After becoming a hospital phlebotomist, she met US Army RTO Danny Jackson. They married in 1977 and had two children, Mitchell and Bethany. A boat accident in 1984 widowed her to raise four children alone.

Sharon dedicated her life and efforts to her family, proudly helping to raise three generations of children. She touched many lives through her work at St. John's Hospital, The Broken Arrow Daily Ledger, the Parent Child Center of Tulsa, and elsewhere. Sharon loved fiction, both books and television. She took joy in the music of artists like Bette Middler, Adam Lambert, Laith Al-Saadi, Aerosmith, Leonard Cohen, and Paul Simon.

Sharon was well known for sharing her love and kindness with every person who crossed her path. She is survived by: her children, Seline Hains, Brenna Canik, Mitch Jackson, and Bethany Jones; her siblings, Robert Mills, Marsha Crutcher and Mindy Ligett; her six grandchildren, and three great-grand children.

A celebration of life will be held at 4PM on Friday, August 11, 2023 at Schaudt Funeral Home, 5758 South Memorial Drive.
