Sarah Katherine Crowl

Sarah Katherine Crowl, 97 of Glenpool, OK passed away peacefully Thursday, October 26th, 2017 at her granddaughter Kathy's home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Eastland, Texas on February 1, 1920 the daughter of Fannie Jane (Little) and Thomas Bender.

Sarah's family moved from Texas to Oklahoma where she attended Webster High School she was a member of the first class to graduate from the new school.

On April 21, 1942, she married Leo Leroy Crowl in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Sarah enjoyed fishing, gardening and reading. She was a huge Oklahoma City Thunder Basketball fan and watched every game she could. Everyone that knew her said, she was a sweet lady.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Fannie Jane (Little) and Thomas Bender; her husband, Leo Leroy Crowl; and a brother and sister.

Survivors include her son, Melvin Crowl and his wife, Lisa; granddaughter, Kathy Crowl; and three grandsons, Leroy Crowl and his wife, Janelle, Paul Crowl and his wife, Brenda, and Kevin Crowl and his wife, Virginia. She is also survived by nine great grandchildren and 12 great-great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday,
October 31, 2017 at the Event Center of One Church,
1600 E. 141st Street, Glenpool, OK 74033.
Reverend Gary Volz will officiate.
