Sandra Kay Davis went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, June 3, 2023. Born in Muskogee, OK on April 11, 1954, to Betty and Eugene Gile, she was raised in Haskell, OK until moving to Skiatook, OK in the eighth grade. She graduated from Skiatook High School in 1972. Sandra was very active in basketball during high school. She was a very talented seamstress as well. She would sew dresses in the morning and then wear them to school.
After graduating high school, she moved to Stillwater, OK to attend OSU and study home economics. She married her first husband, Donald Kay of Sayre, OK in June of 1975. They had three children together, Kristi, Justin, and Amy. Sandra spent the next 20 years in the food service industry and raising her family before entering her 30 year career in the nursing home industry. She loved her residents! Holidays and nursing home week was a great joy to her. She always cared for anyone that crossed her path. She also served on the Administrators Board of Oklahoma, Green Country Nursing Home Association, and Rotary Clubs of Oklahoma.
Sandra lived with her husband Don in various Oklahoma towns until settling down in Tulsa. They were married for 45 years until his death in January of 2018. After grieving her husband, she met and fell in love with Allen Davis of Tulsa, OK. They were married in November of 2021. She enjoyed traveling and the two of them traveled all over, which pleased her very much. Her grandchildren were her passion. Sandra had a light within her, always making sure to put her loved ones above herself. She is forever loved and missed by so many families and friends.
Sandra is preceded in death by her father, Eugene Gile of Skiatook, OK, her mother, Betty Due Gile of Skiatook, OK, and her first husband, Donald Kay of Tulsa, OK. She is survived by her husband, Leonard Allen Davis of Tulsa, OK, her brother, Keith Gile of Skiatook, OK, her children, Kristi and Orlando Ortiz of Collinsville, OK, Justin and Annamae Kay of Jenks, OK, Amy Kay and Shawn Elledge of Oklahoma City, OK, her stepchildren, Kelly and Jennifer Kay of Edmond, OK, Bryan Kay of Houston, TX, Darren and Karen Kay of Carmel, IN, Larry Allen and Ashlee Davis of El Dorado, AR, Kim and Marcus Samuels of Tulsa, OK, grand-children, Jaxon, Deja, Cameron, Carson, Allen, Mason, Charlotte, Ellyssa, Alexander, Shawn McKay, Jacob, Joshua, Lauren, Mady, Riley, Dustin, Alexis, and Shyla, her great-grandchildren, Carter and Lynlee, as well as her extended family and many loving friends who will all miss her dearly.
Visitation for Sandra will be held from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM on Friday, June 9, 2023 at Schaudt Tulsa Funeral Service, 5757 S. Memorial Dr, Tulsa, OK 74145.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM the following day, Saturday, June 10, 2023, at Schaudt Tulsa Funeral Service, 5757 S. Memorial Dr, Tulsa, OK 74145.
Interment will follow immediately after the service at 1:00 PM, Haskell Cemetery, 1700 North Chickasaw Avenue, Haskell, OK 74436.
